About Us

The Metro Womenʼs Business Center is a business hub of resources for women entrepreneurs who aspire to have a small business or grow an existing one. Partially funded by the Small Business Administration (SBA), the center is run by the Friends of Puerto Rico 501(c)(3) organization.

The MWBC is located at the University of Puerto Rico in the metropolitan area of San Juan-Bayamon.

MISSION

To improve inclusion, access, and knowledge in entrepreneurship that leads to starting or growing a business.

VISION

Our vision is to enhance the economic self-sufficiency and quality of life of women and individuals through entrepreneurial training, technical assistance and access to capital for new and growing businesses throughout Puerto Rico’s San Juan and Bayamon region.

WHO WE SERVE

We serve entrepreneurs from the municipalities: Bayamón, Carolina, Cataño, Corozal, Dorado, Guaynabo, San Juan, Toa Alta, Toa Baja and Trujillo Alto.
