Metro Women’s Business Center

Metro Women's Business Center

About Us

Metro Women Business Center. Friends of Puerto Rico is the host of a Women Business Center that is powered and partially funded by the Small Business Administration (SBA).

Our Women Business Center will create a thriving ecosystem of women entrepreneurs in the Bayamon and San Juan region and serve as a hub to access the tools, capital, knowledge, and networks to create a supportive environment in which women and the local community will grow their businesses. This will allow an accelerated growth of an economic hub and the commercialization of new businesses in Puerto Rico.

Friends of Puerto Rico’s Metro Women’s Business Center is located at the University of Puerto Rico in Bayamon. This program, funded partially by the Small Business Administration, provides comprehensive training and resources for women entrepreneurs in the San Juan-Bayamón Metro area. The business center provides important resources to budding women entrepreneurs wherever they are in their process, from support through the conceptual stage, to creating a startup business through the path of achieving sustainability. Additionally, the center supports established women, entrepreneurs, to help maximize the growth potential of their existing businesses.

Our vision is to enhance the economic self-sufficiency and quality of life of women and individuals through entrepreneurial training, technical assistance and access to capital for new and growing businesses throughout Puerto Rico’s San Juan and Bayamon region.
