The Metro Women’s Business Center presents the Metro Business Jumpstart: a 7 week, free of charge program via text messages that grants the opportunity of learning the 7 key steps to registering your own business in Puerto Rico. These messages and mentorship from Grisel Saez, the Metro Women’s Business Center Director, will help you overcome the common barriers of opening up your own business.
How does it work?
There will be an orientation on September 7, 2022 at 6:30 PM. You will be able to hear from local government officials such as Yarisa Melendez, Mayra Marrero, and Christopher Quinones from the Bayamon Junta Local de Desarrollo Laboral, Programa de Oportunidades y de Innovación de la Fuerza Laboral (WIOA). This orientation will provide an overview of what the program includes and how you can participate. Then, those who attended the orientation will receive the first step via text message on September 14, 2022. This will happen each week until October 26, 2022. The goal is to have your business registered by the end of the 7 weeks, in addition to meeting with Grisel Saez if you have any questions or doubts along the way.
